Anna Douglas Piper, Editor-in-Chief
Anna Douglas Piper is a fourth year from Memphis, TN, studying Public Policy and Foreign Affairs with a minor in French. She has worked on the Journal as a staff writer and is interested in diplomacy, politics, international security, and humanitarian aid. Outside of the Journal, she is a research assistant for the Center for Effective Lawmaking and volunteer with the Cavalier Food Pantry. In her free time, you can find her on walks, watching Scandal, or talking about kayaking at her summer camp.
Charlotte Sparling, Managing Editor - Journal
Charlotte Sparling is a third year from Fairfax, VA, double majoring in History and Economics. Her academic interests center around the legal world and how various countries balance their differences surrounding these issues. This is her third year with the Journal. When she is not studying or volunteering with the UVA Catholic Center, you can find her reading a book by Fredrik Backman.
Priya Buddhavarapu, Managing Editor - Op-Eds
Priya Buddhavarapu is a third year from Fairfax, VA, studying philosophy and statistics at UVA. Outside of the Journal, she is involved with Model United Nations, Club Tennis, and service for the International Relations Organization. In her free time, you can find her jamming to some music on a run, reading a good book, or exploring a local Thai restaurant.
Saira Uttamchandani, Production Chair
Saira Uttamchandani is a third year from McLean, Virginia, studying Commerce with a second major in Government. Outside of the Journal, she is a TA for the McIntire School of Commerce, a member of the University Judiciary Committee, a consultant for the Speaking Center, and a research assistant for the Karsh Institute of Democracy. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading, and watching movies.
Junno Farah, Events Chair
Junno Farah is a third year from Fairfax, VA, studying Global Development and French. Her main academic interests are in climate migration and post-colonial thought. Outside of the Journal, she can be found organizing with SWAP, chatting at the French House, or volunteering at WXTJ events.
Luke Crafton, Media Manager
Luke Crafton is a third year from Raleigh, NC, double majoring in Foreign Affairs and History. His academic interests include Latin American history and politics and historical linguistics. Beyond the Journal, he is also involved in the Washington Society, WXTJ Student Radio, and active in multiple foreign language clubs.
